Meet Ms. Lexi
My name is Alexis Crane or better known as Ms. Lexi. I started my journey as a childcare provider back in 2010 and have been smitten ever since. I have worked with age groups infants to preschool. I found a love for teaching young minds as soon as I stepped into my very first classroom.
I started Our Little Stepping Stones Childcare in 2024 after quitting my job at another childcare home to take care of a family member. When we lost our grandfather, I decided that it was time to start my own in-home childcare and serve my community the best way I knew how, providing a safe, fun, and educational learning environment for young minds. While I am the primary provider, my long time boyfriend, Trevor, helps with our daily routine in the mornings. He brings great fun and humor to our days.
We do have a few critters at our home as well. Raven is our 14 years old Staffordshire Mix. She is great with the kiddos and enjoys the extra snacks they throw her way. We also have some chickens that give us fresh eggs every day.
I am CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. I also work throughout the year to attend seminars and workshops to better understand the field of childcare and how I can provide even more to my children and families. I am constantly learning new methods to bring to my business and to educate myself on any and all changes to the childcare field. I have also received my Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Mid America Nazarene University.
